SMALL TOWN PIZZA
with the big city taste
Our Story
Nick Ciambra has been a pizza-guy since he started working in a friend's pizzeria at the age of 19. Making pizzas and delicious Italian food was his calling, so in 1990, he opened his first shop in Clyde, New York. It was so popular, he sold the business and moved to Warsaw, New York to open another pizzeria.
A few years later, in 1996, Nick and his family purchased a pizzeria in Gouverneur, New York called "Jo and Vinnie." It had been in business since 1987. On November 1, 1996, New York Pizzeria opened in Gouverneur. When Nick purchased "Joe and Vinnie," the shop was small, with only a few employees. Nick changed everything, recipes, staff, and even the space.
In 2000, Nick and his family purchased the building. Since then, the business has been expanding. From three employees, New York Pizzeria now has 17 employees plus the Ciambra family. Come in and try anything from the menu and you'll know why the business is so successful.
